Resistance to fire
EPS is already widely used in the present-day construction industry (70% of the world production of EPS is for building). We use an fire-resistant ESP with an interior finish of reinforced plasterboard(/fiberboard) which will act as a fire screen.
Contrary to popular belief, wood is quite resistant to fire: it is a poor conductor of heat and able to withstand long enough to allow the evacuation of the building.
